Singapore Sambhal Chicken

(Singapore Style Chicken Recipe)


Singapore Sambhal Chicken Ingredients:

500 grams chicken
2 medium sized onions
2 tomatoes
2 cardamoms
1/2 inch cinnamon
3 screw pine leaves
3 tbsp ginger garlic paste
2 tbsp red chilly paste
2 tbsp cashew nut paste
2 tbsp tomato paste
1 tsp chicken curry masala
2tbsp turmeric powder
1/2 tsp coriander powder
3tbsp cilantro
oil for frying
salt to taste

Singapore Sambhal Chicken Preparation:

Take the chicken pieces in a bowl. Add 1 teaspoon turmeric, salt to taste and mix it.

In a frying pan deep fry the chicken pieces till golden brown.

Remove from flame and set aside.

Take a pan and add 3 tbsp of oil.

Add cardamoms, cinnamon, screw pine leaves and chopped onions.

Saute till golden brown then add ginger and garlic paste and chopped tomatoes.

Add the chilli paste, turmeric powder, chicken curry masala powder and coriander powder.

Add some water to it.

Stir well and add tomato paste and cashew nut paste.

Bring to boil and add the fried chicken.

Simmer and cook till the chicken is soft and the gravy thickens.

Garnish with cilantro leaves and serve.
