Pori upma

(Puffed rice upma or murmura upma)

Pori upma (puffed rice upma or murmura upma) ingredients:

1. Pori -- 1 packet
2. Onion -- 2
3. Green Chilly -- 2
4. Groundnut powder -- 3 tblspoonn
5. Salt -- to taste
6. Mustard seed -- 1 tspoon
7. Urad dhal -- 1 tspoon
8. Oil -- for fry
9. Turmeric powder -- pinch
10.Corrinder leaves for garnishing
11.Asefoitida powder



Puffed rice upma or murmura upma method:

Soak the pori in water and take out immediately by squeezing it.

To this add chilly salt paste,turmeric powder and groundnut powder.

Mix well and keep it aside.

Now heat a pan,add oil and mustard seed.

When it starts popping up ,add urad dhal and allow it to turn red.

Now add asefoitida powder and corrinder leaves.

Now add onion and allow it to turn transparent.

With this add pori mixture and cook for 2 minute.

Your Pori uppma is ready.

Note:

Onion is not a must.

We can prepare this receipe without onion also.

Alternatively, along with onion we can also add potato,carrot and peas.
