Malayali Pepper Chicken

Malayali Pepper Chicken Ingredients:

Chicken cut into big pieces - 500 gms
Browned onion paste - 1 cup
Tomato paste - 2 tbsp
Ginger garlic paste - 2 tsp
oil - 1 cup
Pepper powder - 4 tsp
Vinegar - 2 tbsp
Salt to taste

Malayali Pepper Chicken Preparation:

Wash the chicken and drain out all the water.

Make a marinade by mixing ginger garlic paste, pepper powder, vinegar, onion paste, tomato paste and 2-3 tsp of oil.

Sprinkle salt on the chicken pieces and marinate the chicken pieces with the prepared marinade and leave aside for 4 to 5 hours.

Heat the remaining oil and fry the chicken pieces on low fire turning occasionally.

Add half cup of water and cover with a lid and continue to cook on low fire till the chicken pieces are tender and all the water has been evaporated and the onion and pepper gravy sticks to the chicken pieces.

Serve with parathas.
