Buttermilk columbu

Mor kuzhambu or Majjiga pulusu

Buttermilk columbu ingredients:

1. Thick butter milk - 4 tea cups
2. Mustard - 1/2 tbl.sp.
3. Oil - 2 tbl.sp.
4. Turmeric powder - a pinch
5. Salt to taste

To prepare masala:

1. Channa dal - 2 tbl sp.
2. Idly rice - 2 tbl sp
3. Ginger - 1 small pieces
4. Garlic - 1 piece
5. Small onion - 2 no.
6. Coconut grated - 2 tbl.spoon
7. Small jeera(seeragam)-1/4 tbl.sp.
8. Green Chilly - 1

Mor kulambu or Majjiga pulusu Preparation:

1. Grind all the above ingredients given for masala, in mixy to a nice paste.

2. keep vessel on the stove add some oil , then after put some mustard and curry leaves.

3. Put a pinch of turmeric powder and add the masala to it and saute for 5 mns till raw smell goes.

4. Then add buttermilk to it and heat it(dont make it to boil).

5. Take off from the stove and then add salt to taste.

6. Serve hot with rice and pickle or potato fry.
